Becky Williford
Roosevelt University

I grew up loving the game and continue to hold my passion for it. Playing in college and mentoring young individuals drove me to become involved on the coaching side. I also teach Special Education and my students are what truly drive me to become a better educator. I want to translate my classroom experience to my coaching by having my players drive me to become a better teacher on the court. Becky coached the Illini X-Treme 6th/7th grade boys team for one season. During my time with this program, I facilitated team practices while overlooking player development, provided player profiles for each individual outlining their strengths and areas of improvement, established positive rapport with both players and parents in order to optimize their child’s experience on the team, and created and implemented various situational offensive and defensive sets to increase the team's basketball IQ.
